Opportunities are available to get involved on HAGO committees. Please read about the open positions below and let us know you’re interested by completing the HAGO Volunteer Interest Form by October 13.

COMMITTEE POSITIONS
We are looking for volunteers to serve on the HAGO Committees listed below, including a Chair for the Membership and Social Media Committees. Terms will begin on January 1, 2025, and are generally 2-year terms.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee verifies membership applicants’ eligibility for membership as detailed in the bylaws and approves membership applications. The Committee may also plan and help implement membership growth strategies and campaigns. Most of the work of the committee is carried out via email correspondence.

Program Committee
The Program Committee is responsible for planning the scientific and social programs for the HAGO Annual Meeting. The committee meets monthly during most of the year, moving to semi-monthly meetings in the 2-3 months prior to the Annual Meeting. Meetings are typically not more than 1 hour.

Social Media Committee
The Social Media Committee is responsible for developing and implementing a social media strategy for HAGO in addition to developing, posting, and sharing content.
